Whether you call Corry your hometown or just moved here recently, you know the Corry area is a special place. When you give to your community through the Corry Community Foundation, you are joining others who have the same philanthropic foresight. You make our community stronger and more vibrant by supporting the good work of the Foundation and hundreds of local nonprofits.
The Corry Community Foundation's competitive grant-making process keeps us in constant contact with our nonprofit community. You can be assured we carefully vet all projects before funding them. As a donor, you can rely on our due diligence and transparency. Before making your personal charitable decisions, consider us your nonprofit information resource.
At Corry Community Foundation, our Finance Team administers all tax filing and audit requirements for our fundholders. Tax deductions are taken when you make your gift to Corry Community Foundation, and we coordinate everything else. We work with your professional advisor on asset transfers, agreement language, and other pertinent matters to insure a smooth and convenient process. If you support many different nonprofits, the Foundation can also process pass-through gifts for you. You write one check to Corry Community Foundation, and we take care of the rest!
Through our mini-grant process, the Foundation addresses current needs of local nonprofits such as new office equipment, summer camp supplies, and other significant and essential projects. Through our standard grant-making, we aid in funding major projects that impact our town. Examples of these include the engineering study and construction at Mead Park, new road equipment for the city, and the Summer in the Park concert series.
You can join other like-minded philanthropists through Foundation affiliations such as our Ken Neckers Legacy Society, which recognizes donors who include us in their estate plans. Another example is our FRIENDS of the Foundation - a group of young leaders and future decision makers interested in making an impact on the future of Corry. You can also learn more about community foundations through the other regional affiliates of the Erie Community Foundation in Findley Lake, North East and Union City.
