Corry nonprofits receive $10,000 in matching Erie Gives funds

The Corry Community Foundation has matched $10,000 in funds raised from the 2017 Erie Gives campaign.

The event, which took place in August and is sponsored by The Erie Community Foundation, netted $67,410 for 21 Corry nonprofit organizations. Now, CCF is matching that total with its recent $10,000 donation, which was split between the organizations based on how much each one earned during the campaign. The money was distributed to each entity during a 2017 Fall Grant Reception on Tuesday evening at the Corry Hi-Ed Building.

The Corry recipients, the amount they received from Erie Gives and their share of the $10,000 from CCF are:

YMCA of Corry, $20,330 from Erie Gives and $3,157.55 from CCF for a total of $23,487.55
Foundation for Sustainable Forests, $15,533.36 from Erie Gives and $2,412.56 from CCF for a total of $17,945.92.
Corry Higher Education Council, $10,950 from Erie Gives and $1,700.70 from CCF for a total of $12,650.
Corry Community Foundation, $3,025 from Erie Gives and $0 from CCF, for a total of $3,025.
Doorkeepers Christian Outreach, $2,900 from Erie Gives and $450.41 from CCF for a total of $3,350.41
Corry PTO, $2,577 from Erie Gives and $400.25 from CCF for a total of $2,977.25.
Corry Area Historical Society, $2,230 from Erie Gives and $346.35 from CCF for a total of $2,576.35.
Corry Public Library, $1,925 from Erie Gives and $298.98 from CCF for a total of $2,223.98.
