This scholarship was created by the Class of 2012 in loving memory of their class president and friend, Jay Rougeau.

Larry Amy Scholarship

Amount: Determined Annually (renewable for undergraduate education for a maximum of two years)
Deadline: April 15
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Corry Area High School graduate
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited four year higher education institution and have completed your freshman year
  • Must have an excellent attendance record and demonstrated commitment to community service
  • Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program

Idabelle B. Anthony Scholarship

Eligibility:
  • Corry HS Graduate with a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Education Major
  • Preference given to students enrolled at Edinboro University or Westminster College

Terry Babcock Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Determined Annually
Deadline: May 1
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Corry Area High School graduating senior
  • Candidate must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or science school entering the field of biology, marine biology or veterinarian science
  • Selection will be based on financial need and scholastic record

CCF Bennett Scholarship

Amount: $5,000
Deadline: May 1
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Corry HS graduate attending a 4 year college
  • Each year the awarded applicant must supply proof that they are maintaining a 2.5 grade point average and that they are participating on a varsity team at college
  • Primary consideration given to a wrestler at a Division 1 college. Secondary consideration may be awarded to an eligible varsity track and field athlete attending a Division 1 college. With a lack of applicants for Division 1, priority will be given to wrestlers and track and field athletes attending either Ivy League, Division 2 or Division 3 colleges.
  • An applicant is eligible for the $5,000 in each of the four college years. The total maximum award would be $20,000.
  • Priority among qualified applicants in any given year shall be given to the applicant that has not been awarded a prior Scholarship.
  • If there are no eligible candidates under the above criteria, the Selection Committee shall award the scholarship to Corry's most outstanding senior athlete attending a four year college.

Corry EUM James Bugbee Scholarship Fund

Amount: Determined Annually
Deadline: May 1
Eligibility:
  • Recipients must be in active fellowship with the church family of the Evangelical United Methodist Church of Corry, PA, with preference given to high school seniors
  • The following characteristics will be considered when choosing the recipient: wholesome Christian relationship with peers; high achiever; attitude; dependability; good steward of time and means; resourcefulness; honesty; congenial and friendly; financial need
  • Preference will be given to an applicant preparing for a career in Graphic Design, Commercial Art, Interior Decorating, Mechanical Drawing, Architecture, Cartography, Pictorial Art, Music or Art Teaching. If there are no such applicants, the scholarship may be awarded to a student who is preparing for a career in Christian Ministries; Education or attending a Christian Education Institution

Louise Butters Memorial Scholarship

Joseph Gentileman Scholarship

  • Must be enrolled full time in an accredited college or science school

HE Football Scholarship

Amount: $5,000
Deadline: May 31
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Varsity Football player graduating from Corry Area High School
  • Must be accepted and registered to attend a four-year college or vocation program
  • Preference will be given to players maintaining at least a "B" grade point average

William P. Hayes Scholarship

Amount: $4,000 ($1,000 per year for four years)

Eligibility:
  • Parent or grandparent of the applicant must be employed at Erie County Plastics Corporation (ECPC)

Barbara Keppel-Graham Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Deadline: May 1
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Corry Area High School graduating senior
  • Enrolled full-time at an accredited institution entering a field of nursing
  • Selection will be based on financial need, scholastic record and required essay

Diana M. Lewis Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Minimum of $750

Eligibility:
  • Must be a Corry High School graduating senior or graduate
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be obtaining a degree in the field of human services Preference will be given to Social Work majors

Rebecca A. Lewis Memorial Adult Scholarship

Amount: $750
Deadline: June 27 (Applications available April 1)
Eligibility:
  • Applicants must have been residents of the Corry, Union City or Clymer, NY school districts since at least September 1 of the preceding year, and turn at least age 25 by September 1 of the current year
  • Must be participating financially in your education to a level at least equal to the scholarship
  • Must be enrolled in a certificate or degree program and taking a minimum of three credits per semester

Howard and Teresa McMullin Scholarship

Amount: Determined Annually

Eligibility:
  • Students must have 3.0 GPA
  • Scholarships are awarded primarily by financial need

Paul & Vera Meerdink Award

Amount: $250
Deadline: May 1
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Corry Area High School graduating senior and nominated by a family member, or someone from the school or community who knows the student well
  • Selection is based on outstanding citizenship and moral character; nominees do not have to be college-bound
